Taste: Energetic and fruit forward on the nose with a dry finish with high acid-simply delicious and memorable. Whole cluster direct press (the entire cluster of grapes is harvested off the vine and then crushed and fermented, stems and all--winemakers do this for lots of different reasons) followed by a long fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the vibrant aromatics.
Winery: Scribe Winery in Sonoma, Calif. produces vibrant, terroir-driven wines. The winery–founded in 2007 on a property that pioneered pre-prohibition Sonoma Valley winemaking–is managed by fourth-generation California farmers and brothers, Andrew and Adam Mariani.
